Balcony Court

I spent a morning in Balcony House, alone with the spirits and the rooms. Bathed in sunlight, I enjoyed a time of contemplation and anticipation - contemplation around the mysteries of my life, and anticipation of the beauty of the moments ahead.

I was not prepared for what happened - the beauty was overwhelming, and something convinced me quickly that this was important for me.

The photographic evidence does not capture the beauty I experienced. This photograph is my favorite and one of the best photos I've ever taken at Mesa Verde National Park.
