Then It Was Winter

I was home and it snowed and I could not wait
To go out in the drifts and winds, so bold to think
I could enjoy the dormant time, the gold
Believed, did I, that play could rebirth
In heart and limbs during this time
When children struggle to rise from their beds
Knowing it snowed but they must wait 'til buzzers
School bells, teachers, parents and the Stars agree
It's time to go out, we have to go out, sledding
Snowboarding and glee abound out the door
Stocking hat mittens snow pants moon boots
Up the hill trudging merrily slipping back down
On plastic faster than you can say Banzai!

er, i think you actually meant "Banzai!"

"bonsai" (pronounced BONE-sigh) refers to the dwarf trees... :)
