One Journey

I love making connections in life that focus on our basic nature of being. That basic nature is the One. Like Neo in The Matrix, I Am the One, and you are also.

Oneness is an experience. It's not quantifiable, or even qualifiable (if that's even a word). One is not capable of describing itself. One needs the Other. Other helps Onenness describe Itself.

Before the rabbit hole opens up and swallows me, I would like to stick with a stone and mortar example. Take the concept of the Kiva: it is a rounded sub-floor room which is, to our understanding at Mesa Verde National Park, a ceremonial space, perhaps a living space in the winter, and from my imaginative view, a fun place to be with family to tell the important stories about who your people are in the scheme of this world, and perhaps what the world means.

A fire is lit in the middle of this cylindrical pit. You are there, sitting across from your Grandmother and Grandfather, who are telling the story of your migration as a people. The story is told and retold to ensure the next generation carries your story and will be able to retell it to the next generation. You listen intently, head down, eyes closed now. You peak a view to see Grandpa as he becomes very animated in describing your people's journey from the land of the sunrise to this desert highland. You see the fire in his eyes.

Perspective is gained. The unity of the circle lives in you. You're part of the circle as you sit in the kiva, as you gain a deeper view into the world where you live. Not only does this story communicate the journeys of your people, it relates the Journey we are all on. Enjoy the Journey today.
