Snow on the Mesa Verde

The first snow came like the end of the election period. We knew it was coming, hoped it would happen on time as forcast and yet it still surprised for its stealthy crisp arrival. The snow arrived the same day as election end, November 5.

This is a dream-come-true. I've always wanted to be in Colorado for the first snowfall. I had the honor of cleaning the steps at Cliff Palace that day, as my 9am tour did not happen. The road was not yet cleared, and I got to be the first person out to Cliff Palace. I loved it all.
